Back in May, we learned that while Android Auto for screens in the car is here to stay — and even getting a slick redesign — the experience of using Android Auto on your phone screen was being killed in favor of the Google Assistant’s Driving Mode. We’re now seeing our first evidence of this on the Android Auto side in its latest update, version 4.6, which includes multiple suggestions and warnings to use Google Assistant Driving Mode instead.

Samsung seeks beta testers for upcoming Bixby-powered Galaxy Home Mini

We’ve yet to see the Bixby-powered Samsung Galaxy Home smart speaker arrive after being announced way back in 2018 at the Note 9 keynote. Despite the radio silence on the device, Samsung appears to be offering Korean fans the chance to beta test the Galaxy Home Mini.

Google researchers detail malicious website exploits that targeted iPhone users for years

A new report from Vice today details discoveries made by Google Project Zero researchers that “may be one of the largest attacks against iPhone users ever.” The basis of the attacks is a series of hacked websites, which were randomly distributing malware to iPhone users.
