Apple strikes deal for its Health Records to work with Allscripts’ large electronic health record platform

Even though Apple’s Health team is reportedly dealing with some internal conflict and departures, the company is still making progress in the area as it has created a new partnership with major electronic health records (EHR) vendor Allscripts. The deal will allow Apple’s Health Records software to interface with Allscripts’ platform and devices.

Apple releases iOS 12.4.1 with jailbreak vulnerability fix

Update: Apple has also released tvOS 12.4.1, watchOS 5.3.1, and a new build of macOS Mojave 10.14.6. 

Apple today has released iOS 12.4.1 to the public. This release comes after a vulnerability was exposed last week that made it possible to jailbreak many recent iPhone models running iOS 12.4.

Report: Apple planned ‘walkie-talkie’ feature for offline iPhone messaging, project shelved for now

According to a new report from the Information, Apple has shelved its plans for a “walkie-talkie” feature on the iPhone. Apple was purportedly developing this technology in partnership with Intel as a way to let iPhone users communicate in areas without cellular coverage.
