Apple TV+ show ‘Dickinson’ to premiere at Tribeca TV festival on September 14

Apple will premiere its Apple TV+ original TV show Dickinson at the Tribeca television festival on September 14.

The company will screen the first episode to festival attendees and then hold a panel with the show screenwriter Alena Smith, and stars Hailee Steinfeld (who plays Emily Dickinson) and Jane Krakowski (who plays Dickinson’s mother).

Denon targets Sonos Beam with two new AirPlay 2 sound bars

Sound bars have covered a lot of ground over the last decade. Technology like Dolby Atmos has significantly reduced the gap between surround systems and a mere sound bar with subwoofer. Simple connectivity seems to be the latest push in the space with the launch of two new Denon AirPlay 2 sound bars.

Dubbed DHT-S516H and DHT-S716H, both new models are marketed as premium with 4K HDMI input(s), Class-D amplification, and HEOS, for easy to manage multi-room playback with compatible speakers. Users of Alexa or Google Assistant will also be able to control these sound bars when using either voice assistant.

NeuralCam is an iPhone app that aims to bring to the iPhone the kind of ultra-low-light capabilities we’ve seen in some recent Android smartphones.

Modern iPhones have gotten better and better at handling low-light photos. I put that to the test soon after I got my iPhone X, and wrote then about how impressed I was when testing it on some after-sunset shots…

Apple testing smarter Siri web answers for Spotlight search queries

Apple is testing a new type of search result format for some questions. As spotted on Reddit, Spotlight Search can now answer some typed-in questions with direct answers, rather than a generic list of web results.

The listing highlights the extract, which should hopefully answer the question, along with the source website and a button to report a concern if the result is inappropriate.
